Code Breakers: Women in Games
All-ages |Kids |Tweens |Teens |Adults

Our partners at the Otago Museum have transformed the Special Exhibitions Gallery into an immersive and interactive game zone!

Come in and get hands-on with an array of playable games – from indie releases through to commercial hits.

You can deliver pizzas in Ninja Pizza Girl, join an animal clan in Armello, or race souped-up cars in Need For Speed: No Limits.

All games in the exhibition have been created by New Zealand and Australian women, and each maker reflects on the sometimes-challenging journey they’ve made into this male-dominated industry, revealing the human stories behind their games via a custom-built exhibition audio tour.

This highly interactive, all-ages exhibition has something for everyone, from long-time gamers to those who are just starting out, as well as parents who want to see what all the fuss is about. Come along and get gaming!
