In this exhibition, find out more about what is a genome, why it’s important, and how genomics touches our everyday lives.

Every living thing has a genome – from the tiniest virus to the largest animal on earth. We humans all have a unique genome – a set of instructions that make us who we are.

But what exactly is a genome and why has the field of genomics become increasingly important within our everyday lives?

Told in picture panels, this exhibition seeks to answer some of these questions in 4 intriguing stories: Genome 101, A brief history, Genomics in Aotearoa, and Covid-19, 2020.
