Stories in the sky! A beautiful light show over Logan Park.

Celebrate the rise of Matariki in our Southern skies with Aotearoa’s largest drone show!

Over 200 high-tech drones over Logan Park will perform a mesmerising display choreographed by local Kāi Tahu artists Kitty Brown & Kirsten Parkinson.

Bring a picnic or browse the food trucks and settle in to enjoy the live entertainment before and after the show, for a fun family evening out this Matariki weekend.

We hear you!

The map above shows some car parking sites, and there is on-street parking in the area as well. It will be busy so please be patient and give yourself lots of time.

There are quite a few buses that stop nearby too:

  • Route 63 (Balaclava-Logan Park), every 30 minutes

  • Route 14 (Port Chalmers), every 60 minutes

  • Routes 15 (Ridge Runner), every 60 minutes

  • Routes 37/38 (University), every 60 minutes

If you can't make it on the day...

We've got you!

Find an elevated location where you can look towards the Stadium and you should be able to see the show. It is designed to be viewed from underneath so it will look a bit different but still beautiful.

AND you don't have to miss the amazing soundscape by Alistair Fraser - just tune in to OAR FM to listen live while watching the drones:

  • On your radio at 104.5FM or 1575AM

  • Live stream here

And if we can't make it...

We're keeping an extremely close eye on the weather forecasts and have two times when we'll make a call about postponing:

  • Wednesday morning

  • Saturday morning

If you don't get an update from us, the show is proceeding as planned. If you do, the update will have all the information you need.
