Scifest Festival Hub

We provide the venue, power and tables and you bring your knowledge, engagement skills and some cool activities or experiments.

A growing highlight of our Festival is the free-drop-in Festival Hub. In 2026 we had more than 5000 people visit the space over 5 days! If you or your organisation don’t have the capacity to run your own event, this is a great way to be involved and connect with the public.

A real highlight of our school holidays, this gave our kids practical hands on science learnings for FREE! The kids really enjoyed the interactive experiments, tasks and information. I raved about this to all of my friends.

We provide the venue, power and tables and you bring your knowledge, engagement skills and some cool activities or experiments.

The 2027 Festival Hub will run Tues 13th - Sun 18th July, 10am-3:30pm

You can come for the whole time, just one day or anything in between. In 2026, the hub was in Wall St Mall, we don't have a confirmed venue yet for 2027, but it will be a central Dunedin location.
