Please Note: This is an archived page for an event held in 2021

Take your teaching and learning out into the real world with this citizen science, coastal monitoring and actions workshop for educators and their families. There will be 15 minute presentations on the Litter Intelligence, Marine Metre Squared (MM2) and Project Red Bill citizen science projects at the marine lab at Portobello followed by a field trip to Quarantine Island to do a Litter Survey and intertidal monitoring with MM2. If there is bad weather, the entire session will be run at the NZ Marine Studies Centre. Don't forget to bring appropriate footwear for exploring the shore (gumboots are always good!) and dress for cold/ wet weather. Sorting of the rubbish and interpretation of results will follow.

Ticket includes a ferry trip to and from Quarantine Island.
