Cruise across the beautiful Otago Harbour on the Sootychaser from Back Beach, Port Chalmers, or join us from Portobello on request. View the birds that are on the Otago Harbour along the way with insightful commentary from the skipper.

At Portobello, join your guide where you will be shown the interesting and weird creatures that live on the sand flats: crabs, invertebrates, shellfish and more. Children and adults alike will be fascinated.

Price includes guided sandflats talk and a return ferry trip.

The trip departs from Back Beach in Port Chalmers at 9:45am (39 Peninsula Beach Road).
At 12:00pm the ferry will return you to Back Beach.

After exploring the mud flats, you can join the boat for a harbour cruise (full price), or depart to your own transport. If attending for the sandlfat walk only, prices are:
