The Engineering and Computer Science School at Victoria University of Wellington built the rover from the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab's open rover plans as part of a research project. The rover accommodates 3D imaging cameras along with a number of other high tech sensors. Its suspension system gives it a unique edge to climb on difficult terrain.
