On Monday we'll demonstrate and explain how understanding the materials, mechanics and brains of animals helps engineers to design new kinds of robots, and how new manufacturing and digital technologies make it possible to design and build them in your basement.

Then we'll help you to build your own simple ZoBot and decorate it to give it a unique personality. There will be demonstrations of ADI technology and refreshments available.

Tuesday @ Gasworks Museum 20 Braemar St
On Tuesday afternoon you are invited to bring your ZoBot to the Engine Room at the Gasworks Museum, where the steam-based technology of the industrial revolution and the Victorian age is preserved in working order. As darkness falls we will release our robots and follow them into the Museum.

Did I mention that they glow in the dark? How did we get from steam engines to robots, and what's next?

Note - This event has two parts on two different days. Registering for tickets gets you access to both events:

Monday 12 July, 5:30-7:30pm at ADInstruments (77 Vogel Street). This is when the ZoBots will be built. You must attend this event in order to attend the Tuesday session.

Tuesday 13 July, 4:30-6:30pm at the Gasworks Museum (20 Braemar St). This session is not mandatory, just a fun add-on for those who attended the Monday session. Don't forget to bring your ZoBot!

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
