When understanding anatomical structures, thinking in three dimensions is crucial. The form of something is key to understanding its function, and useful anatomical art relies on being able to convincingly render three dimensional structures on paper. This workshop will focus on how drawing textures like small blood vessels, fascia, fat and muscle striations can help make your drawings pop into 3D while practicing both observation skills and wielding some creative license.

Suitable for all drawing skill levels, whether you’re a seasoned artist or haven’t picked up a pencil since primary school. To focus on the details, base images will be provided to draw on top of, but you are more than welcome to create your own from scratch. Pencils, erasers, ballpoint pens, paper, plus some kids' cartoon colouring pages and base art images will be provided.
