Help solve a Dunedin whodunnit using real-life forensic techniques.

Detectives have long used human fingerprints as a form of evidence with cracking forensic cases, but did you know that there are also other types of fingerprinting? Explore different ways of fingerprinting, including chemical fingerprinting, origin fingerprinting, and other fun real life forensic techniques. Become a forensic investigator as we work to solve a puzzling crime.

This event is suitable for all ages - Novice Gumshoes or Senior Detectives are welcome. We will use real forensic science techniques to solve the mystery and earn a reward. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is hosted by Oritain Global Limited, a forensic technology company founded and based in Dunedin. We use chemical fingeprinting of natural products including honey, meat, dairy, and fibre to promote supply chain authenticity. We hope to support the next generation of scientists and demonstrate our innovative and world-changing technology.

This event will be held in the Dunningham Suite, on the 4th floor of the Dunedin Public Library.
