Join the gang for a closer look at our mighty heart under the lens, or chill out with some colouring in and science puzzles.
Heart researchers from far and wide across Aotearoa have joined forces and are taking over the Festival Hub! The HEART HUB crew has an epic array of activities to drop in and enjoy., including a microscope station, stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, plastinated heart models, and a quiet activities zone. There will be interactives on offer for healthy volunteers and space for young people to play and explore the workings of the heart. The HEART HUB activity zone will be open to families, children and teens from 10am–3 pm.
The microscope station is friendly for children in school years 5 and above. Demonstrators will be available to assist and show you the ropes of using a microscope. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who don’t have a science classroom at school, or for adults who haven’t used a microscope before.
Drop by and entertain the family these school holidays!
