Full Force Science Show!
Kids | Tweens

Chairs of nails. Whip cracks. This science show hits hard.

The New Zealand International Science Festival welcomes Science in a Van from Tāmaki Makaurau with their brand-new science show, Full Force!

Created to mark 15 years of performing science shows up and down the motu, this high-energy, action-packed experience puts physics on full display through fast-moving demonstrations, surprising moments, and plenty of engagement with the audience.

Perfect for whānau audiences and holiday programmes, Full Force invites tamariki to explore the invisible forces that shape our world. Through live experiments and dramatic demonstrations, audiences investigate gravity, friction, energy transfer, and motion. You'll see firsthand what happens when forces push, pull, and collide.

From the crack of a whip to the tension of a chair of nails, this show is full of moments that make you lean in, react, and rethink what you’re seeing. Every segment builds curiosity as tamariki are encouraged to observe, predict, and explain what’s happening in real time.

Designed for 7–12 year olds but engaging for all ages, Full Force blends big science ideas with humour, surprise, and shared discovery.

Expect big reactions, plenty of laughter, and a science show that doesn’t stand still for a second.

BOOKING REQUIRED - All children under 14 years must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
