Learn how to make (miniature) solar panels and a hydrogen-powered car!
Ever wondered how we can use solar panels to capture energy from the sun? Or how we can use electricity to produce hydrogen from water and use this to power our cars?
In this workshop, experts from the MacDiarmid Institute of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology will help you learn more about these exciting pieces of technology. First, you will have the chance to make a small solar panel using blueberries and photovoltaic materials. Second, you will split water to produce hydrogen gas, and put it to work with a (miniature) hydrogen-powered car!
Note: unfortunately you will not be able to keep these.
This workshop is not suitable for children under 12. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (but no additional ticket is required for an accompanying adult).
