Join the HeartOtago crew to dissect a lamb’s heart
The ever-popular Heart Dissection Labs are back for 2025!
Participants will dissect a lamb’s heart, and learn the basic physiological functions of the heart, with the expert HeartOtago crew guiding the way! These labs will be held at the Lindo Ferguson Building, home to the University of Otago's Department of Physiology.
Tickets are FREE, but you must have a ticket to participate in the workshop. No ticket = no heart to dissect, and one dissection kit per ticket applies.
All children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a supervising adult who stays for the duration of the workshop. If you are attending as a supervising adult, you do not need a ticket to come into the workshop.
Disclaimer: This workshop involves the use of animal hearts which have been acquired through the normal human food chain. All attendees will be instructed how to safely use scalpels for dissecting.
This workshop has limited spots available so be sure to snap up your tickets fast!
