Come and take a glimpse at what goes on at the newly redeveloped KiwiRail Hillside workshops.

Ever wondered how we build real trains and wagons? Join this rare opportunity to see the inner workings of the workshop in person! The tour will start from reception which can be found in the facility's main entrance at 300 Hillside Road, and run for around an hour.

Each session includes a health and safety briefing before stepping into the workshops.

Children under the age of 12 will not be able to attend due to the nature of the working environment.

Those children over the age of 12 who attend MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Attendees are required to wear:

• Solid closed in shoes (NO sandals, jandals or open toed footwear).

• Long pants.

Each person will be issued with a bump cap, safety glasses if required and a high vis vest.
