Learn about some of the positive impacts of public-funded science research in Aotearoa NZ in this pop-up exhibition.
In 1926, the New Zealand Government formed the first public-funded research organisation dedicated to science, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).
This exhibition showcases examples of how the Public Research Organisations – the Bioeconomy Science Institute, Earth Sciences New Zealand, New Zealand Institute of Advanced Technology, and Public Health and Forensic Science – continue that legacy, delivering science that continues to have impact for Aotearoa New Zealand and New Zealanders.
