The OPERA (Otago Peninsula Eco Restoration Alliance) science tour offers an immersive experience into our private eco-reserve’s unique ecosystem and the ongoing conservation efforts to preserve its diverse wildlife and natural beauty. During this guided tour, participants will explore our reserve, while hearing about our scientific research, ecological restoration, and conservation work. Tour participants will take part in a 5-minute bird count, which involves staying still for 5 minutes recording all birds seen or heard.
