At Nanofest 2026, NZFrogs will showcase the Pepeketua of Aotearoa series in English and Te Reo Māori, alongside a number of fun activities, t-shirts and stickers! Let's learn about native frogs together!

NZFrogs is a charitable trust helping people learn about and engage with the conservation of New Zealand’s native frogs.

The NZFrogs website was started by Prof Phil Bishop in 2007! It was updated in 2023 and since then, NZFrogs has developed a series of educational booklets and posters showcasing Leiopelma frogs and their conservation. The series entitled Pepeketua of Aotearoa is attractively illustrated to engage all ages, but also provides a complete introduction for interested readers.
